Director Brad Bird will share images and insights about Ray Gunn, his passion project developed over 30 years at Skydance Animation, as part of the “Next on Netflix” event at the 2026 Annecy International Animation Film Festival.

Anthony Roux, aka Tot, co-founder and artistic director of Ankama, will present behind-the-scenes footage of WAKFU season 5 and the premiere of the first episode of WAVEN at the 2026 Annecy International Animation Film Festival.

The animated feature film “Les Chiens ne font pas des chats” (Dog my Cats!), directed by Alain Gagnol, is one of 5 films selected for the Annecy Animation Showcase at the Cannes Film Market, which will take place from May 10 to 20, 2026.

The film was presented during the Work in Progress session on May 17.

KAÏBOU PRODUCTION has signed on as international co-producer of the animated feature film “Les chiens ne font pas des chats” (scheduled for release in Fall 2027) with Parmi les lucioles Films and Umedia.

The story follows Jules and Lola, whose lives are turned upside down when their grandmother Jeanne (voiced by Josiane Balasko) arrives to find a missing teenager, using her secret: she can communicate with dogs and cats (voiced by, among others, Philippe Katerine and Golshifteh Farahani).

Directed by Alain Gagnol, with art direction by Lilas Cognet, the project is financially supported by Telefilm Canada and SODEC, and distributed by Maison 4:3.
